The North Branch site also has the big blue bins in which regular recycle-ables can be placed.

Because the Blue Bag program was such a scam -- Blue bags tossed in garbage trucks to be crushed up and mixed in with regular garbage (never to be 'sorted' and recycled) I am a bit skeptical when it comes to Chicago and recycling.

Do they really recycle what is dropped off in these blue bins after a person goes to the effort of separating and dropping off the items?

I am a bit more likely to believe that the Wrightwood recycling (which I think is private and not city run) actually does recycle.

If anyone has proof that the city is truly recycling our dropped off items, please let me know.
