Well I am writing this post since Chicago is pretty much worthless at any sort of web site optimization and I was looking for Chicago Computer Recycling and Chicago Electronics Recycling, and after much searching, I found what I was looking for:
The facility is located at 1150 N. North Branch Street, which is two blocks east of the Kennedy Expressway at Division Street. See my map here.
The facility is open for drop-offs on the following days:
- Tuesday (7:00am - 12:00pm)
- Thursday (2:00pm- 7:00pm)
- The first Saturday of every month (8:00am - 3:00pm)
How to Drop-Off
Patrons of the facility should bring their materials through the gates and past the first one-story building, located on the west side of the street at 1150 N. North Branch. Signs are posted indicating the specific drop-off spots for specific materials (electronics, other household hazards, etc.).
During business hours an attendant will be outside and ready to accept materials. Materials will not be accepted during non-business hours and should not be left outside the facility unattended.
People looking to use the paint room should notify the attendant on duty.

The North Branch site also has the big blue bins in which regular recycle-ables can be placed.
Because the Blue Bag program was such a scam — Blue bags tossed in garbage trucks to be crushed up and mixed in with regular garbage (never to be 'sorted' and recycled) I am a bit skeptical when it comes to Chicago and recycling.
Do they really recycle what is dropped off in these blue bins after a person goes to the effort of separating and dropping off the items?
I am a bit more likely to believe that the Wrightwood recycling (which I think is private and not city run) actually does recycle.
If anyone has proof that the city is truly recycling our dropped off items, please let me know.
