Moving Back to the USA

Some have you have known it for a while, others may have foun din NYC, this is for the rest of YOUS. I put my 2 month notice in at work, and plan on starting my own business and returning to the Chicagoland area.

There were many variables involved in this decision, but the main reasons were to be closer to family and friends. So the 2 months have flown by and I currently have 2 days left of work. I got a lease takeover on my car, which got me out of the lease, put in the notice to my landlords, arranged for movers and should be back in Illinois somewhere around the 26th.

My sister is taking the week off of work (some serious arm twisting to get her to do that 😛 ), and will be getting a sweet rental car and picking my azz up. If the movers come early in the week we are heading to Montreal, if the movers come later we will probably just hit up Toronto or stay in Guelph.

I am not 100% certain what will be going on with my relationship with Geosign, we both still would liek to work together, so I will probably switch to a consultant/advisor role, which would be pretty awesome. Other then that I will be starting a business (add link later) with a friend and building out high quality web sites that should stand the test of time. 😉

I will also have some time to take on consulting gigs including PPC management as well as planning your internet marketing strategies. Other then that I plan to uild out some of the crap I have been working on in the last year or so and make something a biut more out of those, start a Non profit organization and PAINT and build things. We will see what happens. Next month I will be in a relaxed mode for part of it. Going to drink in San Diego and Speak in Boston…other then that need to do some unpacking and “life finding”

I will need to do many things when I get back to the US, the main getting internet access, so I found me a little reminder to get Comcast High Speed Cable Modem:

Feel free to use the link, if you do and sign up I make liek $35…so tell your friends 🙂

What is some other crap I will have to do? Utilities, mail forwarding, blah….

What do you think is the worst part of moving? What is the worst moving experience that you have had?

Congratulations again.. After moving back to NC for the same reasons you’re leaving Canada, the stress levels have subsided. Here’s to the same happening for you.

Thanks dude. What are you doing back in NC? How is your Ruby programming coming along? Have any spare time?

Dude,

I wasn’t at SES NY so I hadn’t heard. Glad to hear you’re starting your own stuff and will be back in the states. I’ll try to catch up with you in Boston.
