Pizza Cone Revolution

Friends, family and visitors, what I am about to tell you may shock and disturb you, but it is the truth. There is a revolution happening as I type this, food as you know it is changing at a dramatic pace. Pizza is about about to get a facelift.

The year will soon be 2006, and no longer will you have to fear the pizza drip! Scientist and food engineers have come up with a new way to eat pizza, the pizza cone!

Apparently Nir Adar a food stylist and artist came up with the concept for a pizza cone, and there are numerous companies producing these things:

Crispy Cones – “A reaction to the ever-changing needs of the nutritionally-minded consumer on the go. An answer to the demand for satisfying, healthy and fast food that is always delicious, nutritious and fresh.”

Pizzacono – “The new way to eat pizza on the go.Originally developed in the US”

Kono Pizza – “There is nothing better than Konopizza to enjoy with your friends. Konopizza is an exciting new concept that was conceived in 2002 with the first outlet opening in April 2004; it is a brilliant gastronomic concept which offers you all the right tools to open and manage your own franchise successfully.”

I guess Pizza Cone franchises are popping up all over the world, but there seems to be a battle of where the pizza cone was invented, one is claiming Italy, the other is claiming the US. Either way Pizza Cones are the future of food.

I am just looking forward to the day when I can take this sweet sixer home with me after a long night of drinking:

So the question is, would you eat one of these cone pizzas if you had the chance?

NO – Pizza already is the perfect food. You can get it delivered, hotpocketed/calzoned, good when old/cold; some pseudo entrepreneur just wants to put a spin on it for personal glory/franchising. This is even less neccessary than a pet rock

Absolutely – I’m not a fan of junk food in general, but I would surely give it a try.

I’d like to share some information about expanding a cone pizza concept around the globe. Does it mean that pizza in a cone becomes as popular as a hamburger?..

Here is the examples:

Greece: www.pizzacon.gr
Korea: www.сonepizza.co.kr
